Kramer’s Korner

Hello again to all my good friends.  This is Kramer up here in God’s country.  Well, what do you think of the new and improved me.  As I said last time, me and Scooter had a trip to the groomer last week.  Other then the bath, which I vocally protested against quite loudly, I decided to give Trish a chance and see what she could do if I cooperated. After all, I was already all wet.  Of course, I still tried to sit down, but other then that, I didn’t raise a big fuss.  I even let her clip my nails.  She is very gentle and, kind of cute I think.  I like it when she holds me and talks to me and…..  Never mind.  And no, I’m not caving.  I’m just exercising my rights to act as I please. Anyway, this is it.  This is the way I am going to look from now on.  Personally, it is very comfortable and I think very stylish. Bob sent a picture to his cousin and said I was ready to take Bella, her Shiatsu, out for an ice cream.  She wrote back that Bella said, “forget the ice cream, let’s go dancing”

It doesn’t seem possible that it is August and I have been living here four and a half months already.  I guess it is true that time flies when you are having fun, and, I have to admit, I am having fun.  Don’t tell Bob or he will try to take credit. I prefer to think I am my own dog and take my pleasure where I find it.  Unfortunately, sometimes I find it in the wrong places, like again with the dining room table thing.  I’m going to have to give that up.  Bob obviously has not changed his mind.  I ran a test last week and immediately heard KRAMER!!!!  It’s too late to pretend I don’t know my name, so I quickly exited.  Not because of Bob so much.  I was planning to jump down anyway. Nothing much to see up there.

Last week Bob and I went over to visit his wife.  I don’t know what a wife is and I didn’t see anyone, but Bob said she was there.  He said I would have liked her and she would have been crazy about me. Then he went and got some water and poured in on some flowers in front of a big rock.  It was a beautiful day and there were a lot of trees and rocks and it was very quiet.  I would have loved to run around but Bob said there are no pets allowed, so I had to stay in the car. I was OK with that as I love to ride, anywhere.

Scooter went in for his dental surgery last Monday to see what was causing him pain when he ate.  They thought he may need an extraction, but unfortunately, they found a tumor.  They took out what they could and sent it off for testing. We are waiting to see what the results are.  I’m keeping my paws crossed.

I took Bob by the pub once last week.  I wanted to check out the other customers and see if there were any that wanted to fawn over me.  It was an off day.  There was only one. Seems like she was on her first date with this guy and, if body language means anything, it didn’t appear to be going so well. She looked almost relieved when she saw me and asked if she could pat me. In fact, she was so anxious to leave, she left her purse next to her chair.  We caught up with her in the parking lot and returned it. I’m sure glad I was able to help her out.

Well, that’s about it for now.  Remember to keep a smile on your face and a treat in your pocket.  And to my homeless friends, keep the faith.  It will happen for you too.

Til next time, this is your favorite Pek signing off.

About oldmainer

I am a retired manager living in Southern Maine and a would be writer of poetry, narratives, short stories, and random opinions, and that's how Oldmainer was born. Recently, I decided to try an experiment. I added photography to the mix, using only a cheap cell phone with a limited camera and the editing software that came with it, and added the blog site Inklings at to showcase the results. So, feel free to use whatever you find interesting or worthy, but please honor the terms of my copyright when and if you do. They may not be much, but they are still a piece of me. I appreciate your checking me out and hope that you find something that will encourage a return visit. Thanks for stopping by.

Kramer, love the new look, very attractive !!! Maybe you could talk Bob into getting his hair that short . LOL. Sorry about Scooter, hope it all works out for and they got it all. LOVE your posts and my wife enjoys them very much. Get Bob to explain what a wife is, pretty handy thing to have around. Best to you and Bob, hopefully you will get him trained soon.
